Chocolate Investigations 512 Views

19th February 2017 Class: Class Blog Sycamore Peter Wall

The last day of Science Week saw the children focus on the subject of chocolate. The children had to investigate which type of chocolate melts the fastest. They thought about variables and fair testing, suggesting how the investigation should be organised. They then predicted what they thought should happen, set up the investigation and measured the results. Using research and the wrappers they could conclude that the amount of cocoa in a chocolate dictates how fast it would melt. They then moved on to discovering the favourite chocolate in Sycamore Class. The children had great fun tasting both solid and melted chocolate! To find out the class favourite, they then created tally charts and bar graphs. A fantastic end to the week with brilliant science learning.
