We've had a busy two weeks in Oak Class. Here are a few of the things that we've been up to...
On the 11th of November, we went to the church for our Remembrance Service. Mr Tyas and Rev Williams led the service through although there were also readings and contributions from members of Oak Class. We finished the service by heading outside to the war memorial for our moment of silence which was observed impeccably by the children.
In our PE, we have been learning how to play rugby. We began by playing our own version of 'Stuck in the Mud' and this progressed onto playing the same game whilst using the rugby tags. The children have also had the opportunity to practise passing a rugby ball with a partner and also with a group. Over the coming weeks, we will begin to play some mini games of tag rugby involving a mixture of all of our skills.
Maths - 3D Shapes
Last week, Miss Gillman worked with the class as they learned all about 2D and 3D shapes. On Wednesday, they used art straws to make 3D shapes so that they could identify the properties. On Thursday, they made 3D shapes from nets so that they could have a go at making their own nets during Friday's lesson.
