Bread Tasting 439 Views

This afternoon, the children rated different kinds of bread for their appearance, texture, smell and taste. They looked at different shaped breads, a plaited one, a country cob, a Saffron s shaped bread, a Swedish ring ( with cinnamon) and a wholemeal brown loaf. They then decided which one was their favourite that they would like to make next week. We talked about how bread can be eaten for different celebrations and how different ones come from different places around the world. Later on a child found some bread in our plastic food box, "This (plaited) one looks just like the one we tasted" she tells a friend.
