Last week the children explored different ways of jumping and how to land safely. They practiced a tuck jump, pencil jump, straddle, scissors and half turn. Today we got out all the equipment for them to have their first apparatus lesson. The children were amazing! They used all their experiences, from last term, of different ways of moving and applied these to travel along the benches and mats in different ways, going forwards, sideways and even backwards! They tried out some new ways of jumping to dismount and land on the mats. Our children were really creative and impressed Mrs Elliott and I with the range of ideas they had.
