07th October 2016 Class: Class Blog Birch Sarah Tierney

This week we have continued to explore different features of the landscape in art. We looked at the work of artists and then the children all chose something that they wanted to learn to paint or draw. Then we used the watercolour paint pallets and later on the art pencils and charcoal to explore different lines and tones to make the objects in the landscape look realistic. Some children used what they had learned last week about colour mixing to make the exact shade they wanted! Next week we will use these skills to create our own landscape.
