Welcome to Maple class!

We are the Year 3/4 class at Ingham Primary School. This year, we will be studying a range of exciting topics in our lessons: Dynamic Earth, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, Stone Age to Iron Age and The Romans. We will be enhancing our learning through trips to Creswell Crags, Lincoln Museum and a trail around Roman Lincoln. Linked to these topics, we will be reading some engaging texts, including Beowulf, How to Train Your Dragon, Arthur and the Golden Rope and Escape from Pompeii.

Reminders

• Our spelling homework is set on Fridays and due back in on Wednesday. This is usually a set of spellings linked to the pattern taught in class and the Y3/4 statutory spelling word list.
• Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. Please note that only stud earrings are allowed and must be either removed or covered in earring tape for our PE lessons. Long hair must be tied back.
• We encourage children to read their reading book every day and to log on to Times Tables Rock Stars or Numbots – 3 minutes a day is all it takes to learn your tables! Please encourage your child to bring their reading book to school every day.
