Pupil Premium
We believe in providing exciting learning opportunities that put the learner at the heart of the process. We are building a community that places no limits on learning. Our vision is to be successful, confident and caring.
Pupil Premium is a government grant which is additional to main school funding and is allocated to schools to work with pupils who are disadvantaged to help close the gap between those pupils and their peers.
'Disadvantaged' pupils include those who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years, pupils who are 'Looked After' and those who have been adopted, as well as children who have a parent in the Armed Forces.
As a group, research shows, disadvantaged children have consistently lower educational attainment than other pupils.
Schools have to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility. However, they are held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support disadvantaged pupils.

Please remember that even if your child does not have a school dinner, he/she could still be eligible for Pupil Premium and that this funding directly benefits your child and the school. How the money is spent and its impact.
Schools are required to publish how they have spent the Pupil Premium monies they have been allocated and the impact that this has had.
