As part of our transition preparation we have been reading the story a new house for hermit the crab. The children retold the story first verbally using cut out characters and then wrote the story down in their literacy books. I am so proud of the progress this class has made in their written work this year, their language, spelling and punctuation has developed enormously. The children made croissant crabs and used money to buy decorations at our creative station shop to make a new house for Hermit. In numeracy the children used metre rulers to measure and record the length of different sea creatures and compare their size.
