On Sunday 29th January 2017 a group of gymnasts from Ingham Primary School entered the Lincolnshire Primary Schools Gymnastics competition. They had a really fantastic day with the mixed teams in Years 3 & 4 and 5 & 6 both getting silver medals and more importantly every child giving their very best performance. They really did the school proud with their great behaviour and superb team spirit. A huge thank you to Mrs Thornton and Mrs Patrick for all their hard work in training the children!
On Monday 3rd October, Beth visited the school to inspire children with her life story and journey to London 2012 and to work with gymnasts from across the school in workshops and masterclasses. In the morning she shared with the children some of the inspiring story of how she became a gymnast, and gave very positive messages around the importance of fitness, health, resilience and persisting with your goals. In the afternoon she worked with a group of around 20 gymnasts from the school developing their skills and control before leading a masterclass for the most accomplished gymnasts creating a floor routine to perform to the rest of the school.
A selection of photos from our fantastic London Residential visit from September 2016. Day 1 included visits to Wembley Stadium, the beautiful Shri Sanatan Mandir in Wembley and a night time tour of London. Day 2 included a visit to the Houses of Parliament, a Thames river cruise, the British Museum and a performance of 'Wicked' at the Apollo Theatre On Day 3 we walked to Hyde Park, the Albert Memorial and the Royal Albert Hall, followed by a visit to the Natural History Museum. It was a fantastic experience with many special moments!
Our Enterprise Week was another big success, with children making, baking, creating and selling.
